Sand Blending

Symbolizing the blending of two lives or families into one.

Sand blending rituals are an ideal way of including any children that you have. They can be invited to come up to blend sand with you, demonstrating the blending of your two families. This is a very meaningful way of sharing your perfect day with your children and make them feel special too.

Lasso Unity Ritual

Embracing the unity and strength of your commitment to each other.

Symbolizing Eternal Love

The Lasso unity ceremony is an ancient tradition highly popular among Catholic, Latin and Filipino cultures. Some couples may choose it to honour their heritage. The ceremony is normally performed after the exchange of vows, using a lasso to join the coupe. The lasso can be a rope, large rosary beads, silk or a flower garland. It is placed over the couple’s shoulders in a figure 8, by either the Priest/Celebrant/Las Padrinos (Godparents).

Everlasting Union

The figure 8 symbolises their everlasting union and is a symbol of protection, whilst the loops formed signify their love for each other.

Oathing/Wishing Stone Ritual

Sharing wishes and promises for your future together.

Manifesting Your Dreams

This is an opportunity to include the whole wedding party in the wedding ceremony. Guests are asked to take a stone prior to the ceremony and write their wish for your marriage on the stone. These are then presented to you during the ceremony, along with spoken wishes for you. This is a very visual and beautiful way of including your family and friends in your special day.

Fire Ceremony

Signifying transformation, renewal, and the start of a new chapter.

Igniting Passion and Renewal

Fire is cleansing. It clears away the old to make room for the new. It connects up to the cycle of life, and to nature. The Sacred Fire Ceremony is symbolic of the separate lives of the couple and their union. Usually preformed at outdoor weddings. A fire circle is traditionally built with high stones and seven types of wood cut from specific trees.

Handfasting

Binding your lives together in a beautiful and meaningful way.

Symbolizing Unity

Bind your hands together with cords, symbolizing the intertwining of your lives, hearts, and souls as you embark on this journey together as partners for life.

Honoring Tradition

This can be completed with a cord, or ribbons. If using ribbons, choose the colours that are meaningful to you and best represent you as a couple. You can include select members of your wedding party to come forward with a ribbon and this will be placed over your joined hands. The Celebrant will braid the ribbons and when you separate your hands, you will form a beautiful infinity knot which will represent your joining. This gives you a stunning and personalized keepsake of your wedding ceremony.
